ဘာလို့လဲဆိုတော့ Agricultural Revolution နဲ့ Evolution တွေကို ဆိုးကျိုးဘက်ကနေ ထောက်ပြမယ့်သူမို့လို့ပဲ။ ဒီလိုပဲ Growth နဲ့ Development ကွဲပြားပုံကိုထောက်ပြတဲ့သူတွေဟာ တိုးတက်မှုကိုမလိုလားတဲ့သူတွေလို့ စွပ်စွဲခံရပြီး လူ့အဖွဲ့အစည်းရဲ့အပြင်ဘက်ကို ထုတ်ပယ်ခံရတယ်။
Agricultural Revolution နောက်ပိုင်းမှာ Industrial Revolution ပြီးတော့ Globalization တဆက်တည်းလာပါတယ်။ စီးပွားရေးဖွံ့ဖြိုးတိုးတက်မှုတွေတဟုန်တိုးဖြစ်လာပြီး လူတွေလည်း Leisure facilities တွေနဲ့အတော်နေနိုင်လာကြတယ်။ နေနိုင်မှု၊ နေချင်မှုနောက်မှာလဲ ပိုက်ဆံနောက်အမောတကောလိုက်ရတော့တာပဲ။ ရုပ်ဝတ္ထုတွေတိုးပွားလာတာနဲ့အမျှ စိတ်ပိုင်းဆိုင်ရာတွေကတော့ တဖြည်းဖြည်းယုတ်လျော့လာပါတယ်။ ပျော်ရွှင်မှုဆိုတာ ဥစ္စာငွေကြေးပေါ်မှာပဲ မှီတည်လာပါတော့တယ်။

Yuval: Erm....Hi....
Inter: Processor Harari! Why do you refuse to celebrate the chicken's remarkable success?
Yuval: Because the way you evaluate success makes no sense. You base everything on the number of copies of DNA...but you don't take into account the suffering or happiness of individuals. These poor creatures are the moat miserable that ever lived. I personally don't see that as a success story!
Inter: Aren't you just refusing to see the positive side?
Yuval: Absolutely not! Look at the life span of these poor domesticated animals...Chickens are often slaughtered when they are less than eight weeks old, while calves are butchered after a year or two. But in the wild their life expectancy would be 10 years for a chicken and 25 years for a cow.
Inter: Eight weeks of life is still pretty good, though, isn't it? From an economic point of view, that's always been the optimal age to slaughter them. Why would you want to go on feeding a rooster for 10 years when it's already reached its maximum weight after a couple of months? It would be ridiculous! The shareholders sure wouldn't like it!
Yuval: Listen, animal domestication is base on brutal practices that only grew crueler with each passing century. As bad as things were on ancient farms, they can be much worse nowadays.
On some ultramodern industrial facilities, claves are separated from their mother immediately after birth, each calf is then shut in a tiny cage barely bigger than his own body... and the calf spends his whole life there! He never comes out of that cage....he's never allowed to play with other claves or gambol around!
Inter: Of course not! Then his muscles would strengthen, and customers wpuld complain that their steaks weren't tender enough!
Yuval: The only opportunity that calf gets to walk, stretch his muscles and spend time with other claves is on the way to the abattoir!
Inter: But, Professor, in evolutionary terms, cattle are one of the most successful species ever. In our competition for the little of "Animal with the most copies of DNA", cows, pigs and chickens are always on the podium!
Yuval: Yes, but if there was a competition for the most miserable animal ever to exist, cows, pigs and chickens would walk away with just as many medals!
